Kyoto/London − Kyocera Corporation has signed an agreement with TOPPAN Holdings Inc. to supply TOPPAN sites with renewable electricity derived from non-FIT (feed-in tariff) solar power systems, starting June 1, 2025.

Overview of the renewable energy agreement

As a renewable energy aggregator, Kyocera will supply renewable electricity to TOPPAN sites throughout Japan via the retail electricity services of TOPPAN Holdings. Kyocera has achieved a 100% renewable energy supply at seven of its own locations in Japan, including its headquarters. This agreement represents the first time Kyocera will supply non-FIT solar power to a significant energy consumer outside of Kyocera’s own operations and is an important step in expanding Kyocera’s business as a renewable power aggregator. Additionally, Kyocera will continue developing new technologies, such as energy storage systems and lightweight solar panels, to promote wider adoption of renewable energy.

About Kyocera’s renewable energy solutions

Kyocera launched its business as a renewable energy aggregator in October 2023 by leveraging decades of experience in developing, manufacturing, and selling solar power systems to supply renewable electricity to commercial power consumers. Surplus electricity is procured from renewable sources such as Kyocera's industrial solar Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), flat-rate residential solar services, and Zero-Energy-Housing (ZEH)-compliant apartment buildings, equipped with Kyocera solar power generation systems. Kyocera is committed to expanding its business as a renewable energy aggregator, primarily from solar sources, while exploring other renewable technologies and solutions.
